Page 5 of 9 Civil Task Forces of the Euro Med Civil Forum
The Euro Med Civil Task forces are working groups of the Euro Med Civil Forum. The members of these groups are all Anna Lindh Network members, who have proven to be most proactive in their national networks in their field of action. Candidates are nominated by the Anna Lindh coordinators, based on recommendation of the Board of the Heads of Networks.
The members are elected by the assembly of the Euro Med Civil Forum, for a term of 4 years. Only organizations who have paid their Euro Med Civil Forum mebership fee1are eligible to vote for the nominees.
To start with, membership in these task forces could be filled in the meantime based on a decision of the Board of Heads of Networks and the Anna Lindh Center.
Below is a review of each of the working groups of the Civil Forum. All of the positions are unpaid ones, although expenses related to the roles ought to be covered.
Education Task Force comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of education in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaign, and exchange of projects. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity: 1.education in public and private schools. 2.alternative educational projects (e.g., wishes, crossing borders, etc). 3.dissamenation of information on the culture and language of the other training and workshops for children and teachers on intercultural education.
Research Task Force: comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of research in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaigns related to their projects, and exchange of projects. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity: 1.Fostering research on the common heritage of the Euro Med region. 2.Fostering cooperation between the different research institutions, especially on common research projects and publications. 3.Fostering the organization of conferences on the various apects of the common heritage of the Euro Med region.
Music Task Force: comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of music in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaigns related to their projects, and exchange of projects. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity: 4.Fostering research on the common musical heritage of the Euro Med region. 5.Fostering cooperation between the different organizations dealing with music, especially in the area of joint production of musical projects. 6.Coordination of the Anna Lindh Euro Med Musical Remix Contest. 7.Fostering cooperation between the singers and musicians of the Euro Med Region.
Interfaith Dialogue Task Force comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of interfaith dialogue in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaigns related to their projects, and exchange of ideas regarding their projects, as well as the central and regional projects. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity:
8.Fostering research on the common values of the various religions found in the Euro Med region. 9.Fostering cooperation between the different institutions and organizations dealing with interfaith dialogue. 10.Fostering the organization of conferences and roundtable discussions on the various aspects of the commonalities between their respective faiths.
Creativity Task Force comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of art and creativity in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaigns related to their projects, and exchange of projects. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity: 11.Fostering cooperation between the various organizations dealing with arts and creativity in the Euro Med region. 12.Fostering joint artistic projects (for example: subregional, regional and interregional art camps, Euro Med Annaual Arts Camp). 13.Management of the Euro Med Creativity Contest. 14.Mapping out the common artistic heritage of the Euro Med region.
Media Task Force comprised of the most active 39 organizations in the field of civilian media in the member states, 1 organization from each member state. Term: 4 years unpaid, expenses covered. The task of this group is to coordinate cooperation between the civil societies involved, coordination of the media campaigns of the Anna Lindh Network, and to raise public awarness to the activities of the Anna Lindh Network. Meets once a year, otherwise actual work is carried out over the internet, on the internal project management website created for this purpose.
Areas of activity:
15.Fostering cooperation and intensive sharing of information between the civilian media outlets in the Euro Med region. 16.Fostering the establishment of the Euro Med Association of Community Radio Stations. Working out schemes of exhange of programs or of experts or of talk show hosts. (using skype, and internet broadcasting, for example) 17.Fostering the establishment of the Euro Med Online Community Radio Station, which would be an extension of the Euro Med Civil Forum. 18.Bringing together representatives of civilian media, journalists and activists every now and then for discussion of hot topics affecting the Euro Med project. 19.Management of the Euro Med Civil Media Contest.
