Introduction
Model United Nations is a global trend on the training of students of political sciences and diplomats, for more than 80 years.
Students, young scientists of law, political science or international relations and diplomats gather together at places around the
world to simulate the works of an international organization and its committees, gaining valuable experience on negotiations and
resolution making.

Why in Rhodes
Rhodes has been at the crossroads of civilizations for over 3 thousand years. A place where Christians, Jewish and Muslims
coexist for the last 500 years, with a strong tradition of co-operation among nations and between people, Rhodes is a unique
background for any conference, having hosted major summits, international meetings and conferences.

Which committees will be simulated
Being academically innovative and challenging, our Model is dedicated to Regional Co-operation. Therefore, for RhodesMRC 2010,
the Union for the Mediterranean and the Black Sea Economic Co-operation Organization will be simulated, both at ministerial level.
The final agenda will be announced soon.

Who may participate
RhodesMRC 2010 is designed for 80 people, 21-29 years of age, who will be assigned a state or organization to represent.
However, younger or older people may attend as observers or volunteers.

Who is organizing the conference
RhodesMRC 2010 is organized by the House of Europe in Rhodes, with organizing partners the Municipality of Rhodes, the
Postgraduate Studies Programme “Political, Economic and International Relations in the Mediterranean” of the Department of
Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean and the International Centre for Black Sea Studies.

Where and when
The conference will last from October 6th to October 10th. The sessions of RhodesMRC 2010 will take place at the City Hall of
Rhodes, at the City Council Hall and at the Protocol Hall. Other locations to be announced soon.

How do I register
Pre-registration period is already open. Official registration will start on 21/06/2010. Pre-applicants and those who register till
04/07/2010, are eligible for significantly reduced fees, while the 75% of the final participants will be selected among them too.
