  Welcome to the  new website of  Abed Abdi!

The first website of Abed Abdi was published over the net back in 1994. Ever since the website changed 2 times. However, this new website is a radically different one: It uses all the web2 technologies, and runs on a modern content administration system (Joomla).

Not only is the website new, since a lot of effort was made in archiving and publishing works of art never seen before, or rarely seen by the public. Cataloging all works of Abed Abdi involved documenting each one of the works found so far, and also entailed photographing professionally each and every one of these works of art.

The Euro-Med Award for the Dialogue between Cultures 2008

The Award is an annual prize which recognizes the achievements of individuals and organizations working for the promotion of intercultural dialogue. Each year, the Award is dedicated to a special theme.

In 2008, the Presidency of the Jury of the Anna Lindh Foundation selected the theme of Dialogue Through Arts. The particular field of art chosen was visual arts which includes the following disciplines: drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. An honourable mention was given to the 5 finalists, one of whom is Abed Abdi, who has got the majority of votes of NGO's members of the Anna Lindh Network in 10  countries.

عبد عابدي، "وما نسينا"

معرض "وما نسينا" هو رحلة شخصية ذاتيّة في الزمن، الذاكرة والتاريخ الفلسطينيين الذين يشكلون جزءًا من حياة الفنان عبد عابدي، المولود في حيفا. يشمل المعرض رسومات ومطبوعات على الحجر (Lithography) نُشرت كصور منسوخة على مدى 20 عامًا، ابتداء من أواخر الستينيات، في صحيفة الاتحاد، في المجلة الأدبية الجديد، وعلى أغلفة كتب وكرسومات داخل كتب. بين الكتب التي نُشرت فيها، كتابا إميل حبيبي، "سداسيّة الأيام الستة" (1968) و "الوقائع الغريبة في اختفاء سعيد أبي النحس المتشائل" (1977)، كتاب سلمان ناطور "وما نسينا" (1982)، كتاب فيليتسا لانغر "بأمّ عيني" (1974)، كتاب يوسف الغازي (غليلي) "أبي، ماذا فعلت حين هدموا بيت نادر؟" (1974) والدواوين الشعرية لموشيه برزيلاي.
